Set the drawer face-up on a work surface and drive two brads into the front, leaving the heads protruding. Then snip off the heads with pliers. Install the drawer in the table, cut the false front to size and place it between the drawer rail and kicker, using slips of paper as shims to hold it precisely centered and level. Steadying the false front with one hand, slide the drawer toward the board (left) and firmly press the brads against it; the pointed ends of the nails will punch impressions in the wood, allowing you to reposition the false front at glue up. Spread adhesive on the back of the false front and clamp it to the drawer with the two brads resting in their impressions.
