Once the veneer is in contact with the panel, get your veneer roller and go to work. We have found that one of the secrets of veneer success lies in rolling the surface sufficiently. Apply plenty of pressure and roll every bit of the surface. In particular, be sure to roll all seams and edges. It is almost impossible to roll too much.
When you think you have rolled the veneer sufficiently so that every bit of it is in good contact, run your fingers lightly over the surface. If you feel any raised areas, roll again. If you applied even coats of cement to both sides and rolled enough, the veneer should feel smooth and level.
