Status Of Your Project

At this point, the piece of furniture you are working on is in one of these conditions:

  • 1) naked, either because it is new unfinished furniture or because you stripped it of the old finish; or,
  • 2) stained or stained and filled; you have applied stain and (if necessary) filler to the previously stripped surface; or,
  • 3) partially finished—you have not completely removed the old finish because it was not in bad condition, and you have made whatever repairs were necessary—now you are going to add a new finish coat over the old to complete your work.
