This planter box has raised panels on each of the four sides. It's a beautiful display container for any plant, and it's easier to make than you might suppose. If you plan to use your planter outside, be sure to purchase exterior-grade materials, including lumber, hardware, glue, and finishes. I made this one mainly for indoor use (I bring it outside to use as a decoration for the deck when we have parties), so I used pine and stained it. The completed planter is 12 inches square and 12 inches tall; it will perfectly accommodate a 10-inch pot.
