Remove the hardware and apply the finish

1 Remove the hinges, magnetic catch and strike plate, and knob. Finish-sand all the parts.

2 Wipe on the stain. Using #8x3/4" flat-head wood screws, fasten the shelves to the plywood back. Apply the finish.

3Have a piece of '/s" glass cut to fit the door. (We secured the glass in the door frame with a fine bead of clear silicone sealant.)

4 Attach the hardware and door. Place the case back into the rabbeted opening, drill the holes, and then using #4x5/8" flathead wood screws fasten the back in place. Level and fasten the case to the wall. ♦
