Cut the rabbets along the inside ends of the panels (F, G).

Make two copies of the Side Panel Full-Size Detail Pattern on page 78. Use spray adhesive to adhere them to the side panels (F), 4'A" from each end, as indicated on the pattern. Drill the Vs" start and stop holes through the panels. Chuck a 'A" straight bit into your table-mounted router, and clamp a fence behind the bit, l15/i6M from its centerpoint. Put the panel against the fence, and clamp another fence flush against the other side of the panel. Refer to Photo B to see this setup. Rout the slots in both side panels (F).

5Install a #4 blade (.035X.015" with 18 teeth per inch) in your scrollsaw, and make the cutouts at the slots' ends.
