There is a special PB screw available that, until recently, has only been used by professional cabinetmakers. It's a great fastener, but there are a couple of issues you should be aware of. First, the screw is tapered and requires a special, and somewhat expensive, drill bit. Secondly, because of its large diameter and coarse thread, you must drill accurate pilot holes and drive the screw straight for a positive hold. Poor drilling or Improper driving will push the screw through the finished surface or weaken the joint.
