Since I plan on using hanging file folders, I've come up with a simple track sys-

floor. For most rooms, this will work fine. However, since there's a heating vent where I want to place my cabinet, I added four wheels. Your cabinet can be built either way. In fact, you can eliminate the l^"-high base completely and attach the wheels directly to the bottom.

These drawers can be quite heavy when fully loaded, so be careful when they're fully open. I plan on securing my cabinet to a wall stud with a 3" screw. You might want to consider doing this as well for an added measure of safety.
